What is The Exhibition?
The idea for this game came to me during my visit to the Louisiana Museum in Humlebæk in 2025. The place, its atmosphere, and its architecture immediately gave me that “Stendhal syndrome”,I almost felt dizzy. I remember wandering through the rooms and hallways, drawing perspectives and overlapping floor plans in my sketchbook. I lost myself in my sketches just as much as in those galleries.
I then wanted to recreate that sensation by reproducing the architecture, then distorting it, adding other works, other corridors, and references that speak to me personally.
This game is an attempt to pay homage to this museum, but also to the works that have particularly moved me throughout my life. I draw inspiration from The Witness and House of Leaves, as well as from graphic and abstract art. I don’t really have a set direction, just the memory of this experience that left a deep impression on me, and that I want to share.
What kind of game am I creating? I don’t know. I don’t know which direction I’ll take. I’m going to let myself drift with my creative ramblings, adding, mixing, and deleting things, sometimes forgetting them, and letting myself be surprised.
It’s neither a puzzle game nor an atmospheric horror game, it’s just my experience, and soon to be your own.
A demo to discover The Exhibition
I created this demo to start sharing my vision, do these few minutes reflect the final result? Certainly not.
But it’s a snapshot, a moment in the creation of this virtual space, a first step. If you’re curious, then welcome to this experience, and if you’d like to share your thoughts, your ideas, or simply see where this project takes me, then join me on Discord.
The Exhibition will be a particularly solitary experience, but its creation may be the result of a thousand shared reflections.
