Our “Why”

We want to teach people Japanese history. Many people know about Japanese anime, food, samurai, and video games, but don’t know much about the Japanese historical background.

We wanted to create an education game to teach people enough historical context for them to further enjoy and appreciate Japanese media—to understand the difference samurai factions in “Sengoku Musou”, the turbulent historical backdrop of “Oshin”, the reference to Japanese gods in “Naruto”, etc.

With this goal in mind, we created the virtual history museum: Chronical Archive—Japan.
