このゲームについて

FIVE HEIRS, ONE THRONE.

The King of Bianké is growing old and must prepare his succession. Among his five heirs, several believe they are best suited to decide the kingdom's future.

Alliances are forged, the great houses choose their sides, and family rivalries gradually spread to the armies. Across the cities and duchies, revolts break out while more discreet groups take advantage of the unrest to pursue their own goals.

What begins as a struggle for influence gradually threatens to drag all of Bianké into a war of succession.

A WAR, MANY POINTS OF VIEW

5 Crowns does not entrust its story to a single hero. As the chapters unfold, the narrative changes banners and presents the conflict through several characters and factions.

The Amethyst Fangs are a small mercenary company known for their professionalism, loyalty, and code of honor. Used to ordinary contracts, its members are gradually drawn into events that go far beyond the scope of their missions.

The Obsidian Blades, meanwhile, favor espionage, infiltration, and covert operations. Their actions influence the kingdom long before their true intentions become clear.

Around these two groups, the Royal Army, the great houses of Bianké, and the Emerith peoples defend their own interests. Depending on the circumstances, they may fight, ignore one another, or form temporary alliances.

A TACTICAL RPG INSPIRED BY FIRE EMBLEM: RADIANT DAWN

Battles take place turn by turn on grid-based maps. Each unit has its own statistics, weapons, skills, and movement options.

Victory does not always mean defeating every enemy. Depending on the chapter, you may need to:

• defeat a commander;

• capture a position;

• protect a unit for several turns;

• prevent enemies from escaping;

• survive several waves of attacks;

• choose which army to face.

Terrain, weapon range, and unit placement are essential. Before acting, you will need to assess possible damage, accuracy, critical hit risks, and the enemies capable of threatening your formation.

Some maps also hide items or special events that reward exploration and risk-taking.

ADVANTAGE SYSTEMS TO MASTER

Swords, axes, and lances form the first weapon triangle. Fire, Wind, and Thunder follow their own magical triangle.

Even a powerful unit cannot handle every situation alone. Building a balanced team, protecting your more fragile fighters, and exploiting enemy weaknesses will be essential to gaining the upper hand.

Your inventory is also part of your strategy. Weapons have a limited number of uses, and some items can only be obtained in restricted quantities. You will need to decide when to use your best resources and when to save them.

DEVELOP YOUR UNITS

Each character has a class tied to a specific role on the battlefield: frontline fighter, mobile unit, ranged attacker, magic user, support, or specialist.

As they progress, your units can gain access to new classes. Some promotions offer several paths, each changing their stats, available weapons, and role within the group.

Alongside martial and magical classes, there are also unique promotions and forms specific to the different Emerith peoples.

There is no single perfect composition for every battle. You will need to develop your groups according to your preferences, the characters you recruit, and the challenges you face.

GET TO KNOW YOUR COMPANIONS

Between battles, the camp allows you to spend time with the characters away from the battlefield.

New conversations become available depending on the chapter, the characters present, and the events you have completed. They reveal their past, their relationships, and what drives them to keep fighting.

Some scenes also grant items, experience, or stat bonuses. Characters who share a support can also gain advantages when fighting near one another.

These quieter moments give another dimension to the units you command: each has a story, convictions, and something to lose.

CHOOSE YOUR DIFFICULTY LEVEL

Several modes allow you to tailor the experience to the level of challenge you are looking for.

Depending on the mode you choose, a defeated unit may simply be wounded and return in the following chapter, or be permanently removed from the playable group. You will then have to continue the campaign and reorganize your strategy without them.

Players who mainly want to experience the story can enjoy a more accessible progression, while the most demanding modes strengthen enemies and greatly reduce the margin for error.

A MEDIEVAL FANTASY ADVENTURE

5 Crowns offers an original world blending a war of succession, family rivalries, social conflicts, magic, and ancient beliefs.

Beneath the appearance of an epic adventure, the story also explores the consequences of struggles for power on the soldiers, families, and people who suffer through them.

The game features an original soundtrack combining battle themes, music dedicated to the different factions, and more intimate pieces centered on the characters.

5 Crowns is also openly inspired by the Fire Emblem series, particularly Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

A FREE PROJECT STILL IN DEVELOPMENT

5 Crowns is an independent project developed on a voluntary basis by the HoriZon team.

The game is completely free. Its campaign is still in development and continues to grow with each update, adding new chapters, characters, maps, and gameplay systems.
